Hilary Duff dons a loose tunic and boots while a pregnant star fetches Whole Foods with Matthew Koma

Hilary Duff and husband Matthew Koma made the most of their family vacation last week.

But they were back to their normal routine on Monday, having picked up the essentials together at an LA Whole Foods.

Hilary, who is expecting her third child, continued to feel comfortable during the outing, draping her stomach in a heather gray tunic worn with simple black leggings.

Adding a little something extra to the look, Duff, 33, donned patent leather Doc Marten boots and let her blonde locks breathe by growing her roots, à la Madonna of the 80s.

When the star of Lizzie McGuire and her husband, musician, left the store, Duff held a baguette under her arm.

Matthew was a gentleman who pushed in the cart with just a few bags.

The songwriter / producer bundled up for the LA cold wearing a sweatshirt representing the band Dawes’ new album Good Luck With Whatever. (Dawes singer Taylor Goldsmith is married to Hilary’s fellow celeb Mandy Moore.)

Last week, Hilary and her other half celebrated Christmas with their daughter Banks, two, and Duff’s oldest child Luca, eight, who she shares with ex-husband Mike Comrie.

They really made it a family affair, with all four matching pajamas for the holidays.

The family seemed to make the most of the day with some good, clean outdoor fun playing on the playground before returning home and enjoying Koma’s musical talents as he serenaded his wife and daughter on the guitar.

With matching Christmas-themed pajamas in festive colors and gingerbread men on the ensemble, the family made a pandemic Christmas special because they said they wore the clothes for two days.

Duff and Koma recently celebrated their first wedding anniversary together as she gushed, ‘Snacking through life, dreaming about dinner at 7 a.m. and kids arguing.

Oh, and avoid the first year of marriage. Always with you honey. For you. Again and again I choose you and … thank you for being a damn good man. ‘

Two-year-old Banks received her first guitar to sing with her father, while Hilary shared on social media that their temporary NYC home was decked out for the holidays.

The family seemed to spend time enjoying the most recent snowfall in NYC that sparked a white Christmas.

Koma took Banks for a ride down the slide while Hilary said that Koma seemed happy “he wasn’t working.”

Banks treated the ice cream like her own popsicle as she licked a large block off the playground, which seemed a bit insecure in the COVID-19 era.

She loved the East Coast weather before returning home to Los Angeles for the first time in months, saying it was a “ beautiful cold sunny NYC day. ”

On Sunday, Duff said the family had outfitted their LA home with roosters like Luca – which she shares with ex-husband of six-year-old Mike Comrie – and Banks imitated the rooster while Duff shared that her chicken coop had produced their first eggs.

With a COVID-19 scare before Thanksgiving, Duff was forced to go into quarantine before getting a negative test result, as she seemed eager to be stress-free with her family at Christmas.
