Duff noted that all of her kids seemed fast, but her production levels have always caused some concern.

“I would say it was easiest with Luca. All babies sound really great, I’m just not a big milk producer so it’s emotional to me, ‘she said. In fact, this is the first baby I haven’t supplemented yet, so I only breastfed her. I’ll keep trying that for a few weeks. ‘

Hilary gave birth to Mae at her home on March 24 and shares a two-year-old daughter, Banks, with her husband Matthew Koma.

They also co-parent her nine-year-old son, Luca, with her ex-husband, former professional hockey player Mike Comrie.

She added: ‘It’s still painful and it’s hard, and it’s even harder to have the other two that I know need me so badly, and this takes up so much of the day batter.

“It seems like I feed the baby every 20 minutes, and I have to sit in one place, and Banks still isn’t old enough to understand, even though she was great with the baby. It’s just hard. ‘

The younger star admitted that the feeding process caused her a lot of anxiety, a common concern among mothers.

‘At the moment I don’t know that I don’t produce as much as I need, but I think since I haven’t done that in the past, I have a lot of fear that I’m not, and that she’s not getting enough, and then I’m in my head, and then I don’t feel like it enough, and then the spiral continues, ”she said.

She tried to give herself grace and commented, ‘I’m not even in week three so I just have to sit back and chill and trust my body is doing the right thing. And she arrives. ‘

Hilary shared similar thoughts in 2019 when she ‘emotional and difficult decision to stop breastfeeding Banks eight months after she was born.

‘Banks is thriving and I get even more time with her and Daddy can do more feeds! And mom gets a little bit more sleep! she said in an Instagram post at the time. Whether you are pre- or postpartum. Or just a busy mom, you’re one [superhero] every day for everything you do. Always put yourself last and run a mile a minute… while carrying all the bags lol. ‘
