Here’s what to expect in Samsung’s Galaxy Buds Pro earbuds

We have heard rumblings The next generation from Samsung flagship wireless earbuds earlier, but now an unreleased APK has just revealed a ton of details about what features Samsung plans to in the upcoming Galaxy Buds Pro.

The latest comes from an entrepreneur Reddit user (u / gamer0mega), who discovered information about new features and product display based on code in the unreleased Galaxy Buds Pro app plugin.

Based on product renderings stored in the Galaxy Buds Pro app, the following Samsung wireless earbuds appear to use the same general design as the Galaxy Buds +, but with the more rounded, polished, round plastic panels that put it on the Galaxy Buds Live. Using more traditional rubber or silicone earbuds, the Galaxy Buds Pro should provide better passive noise isolation than the Galaxy Buds Live, and in combination with built-in active noise cancellation—as indicated by code of the pre-released APKthis should give the Galaxy Buds Pro ANC performance more line with Apple’s AirPods Pro or those of Sony WF-1000XM3 than halfOpen Samsung’s design used on the Galaxy Buds Live.

T.The Galaxy Buds Pro supports a range of touch controls for Activate ANC, pause / play, skip tracks and more with the included 472 mAh charging case that stores a healthy amount of electricity in reserve. The only potential regarding spec is that based on screenshots of the app, it looks like the Galaxy Buds Pro will only have 61 mAh batteries in each earbud, which is basically the same size as the 60 mAh batteries used in the Galaxy Buds Live. In my review, I found that the Galaxy Buds Live generally lasted about 6 hours on a charge with ANC enabled, which isn’t bad (and slightly better than Apple’s claimed 4.5-5 hour battery life for the AirPods Pro with ANC), but still I was hoping for a little bit more.

Other Galaxy Buds Pro features mentioned in the app include the ability to automatically lower the volume orvia audio when the earbuds detect a nearby call, independent volume control for the left and right earbuds and more settings for ANC and Samsung’s Ambient Voice mode.

Plus, it looks like Samsung might even have the Spatial audio function of the AirPods Pro with its new Spatial 3D Audio setting, which allows Galaxy Buds Pro to dynamically change the way music or videos sound based on the way you move your head. The only caveat is that the APK states that the Spatial 3D Audio setting is only available when the Galaxy Buds Pro is paired with a Samsung phone with OneUI running Android 11 or newer.

Finally, based on product display in the app, it appears that the Galaxy Buds Pro will be available in three colors: black, silver and a light purple or lavender shade that people expect to be the new hero color for the Galaxy S21. Unfortunately, there is no pricing information or a release date for the Galaxy Buds Pro mentioned in the APK, but with rumors strongly suggesting that Samsung plans to release the Galaxy S21 in late January or early February, you can be sure that the Galaxy Buds Pro will be available around that time frame, to.
