I pumped some time into Cyberpunk 2077 to play the game and appreciate the great work CD PROJEKT RED has done with the game, with some performance articles coming next week to talk about it – but there is one problem: DLSS.
- Left: Normal DLSS Turn right: Texture LOD Bias -3
DLSS is the only performance savior in Cyberpunk 2077 for owners of NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics cards, but it’s also an issue right now. If you’re gaming at 4K and turn on DLSS and run to Performance mode then your internal rendering resolution drops to 1080p and man, it’s blurry.
I had to put DLSS in quality mode to not be blurry, any other DLSS setting at 4K is just too blurry. But … there is a solution, thanks Reddit user ‘kulind’ who said if you have it Texture LOD Bias setting at -3 via NVIDIA Profile Inspector there is a big improvement in texture sharpness – you can see that in the above side by side comparison in Cyberpunk 2077.
