Here’s how to pre-register to get the COVID-19 vaccine in Montgomery County

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas – The Montgomery County Public Health District has announced that it will open a COVID-19 vaccine pre-registration site for people under Phase 1B.

According to a press release, the county is expected to receive 400 doses of the vaccine this week and administer it to people 65 and older and adults 18 and older with at least one chronic medical condition.

The qualifying medical conditions include:

  • Cancer

  • Chronic kidney disease

  • COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease)

  • Heart conditions, such as heart failure, coronary artery disease, or cardiomyopathies

  • Solid organ transplantation

  • Obesity and severe overweight (body mass index of 30 kg / m2 or higher)

  • Sickle cell disease

  • Diabetes mellitus type 2

Anyone who meets the qualifications and wants to get the vaccine at a drive-through clinic should follow these steps to pre-register:

  1. Visit mcphd-tx.org today at 2:00 PM. Click on the link to join the pre-registration list. (This is not available until 2 p.m.)
  2. Check out an email from [email protected] tomorrow (Tuesday, January 26, 2021) between 10am and 5pm to schedule your appointment.
  3. From the moment the email is sent, you have 24 hours to make your appointment. If you don’t complete the steps to create your appointment, your place will be released to the next person on the list.

  4. You will receive further instructions on location when making the appointment online.

The province would like to note that “pre-registration is no guarantee for an appointment. Appointments are not made by telephone. If you are on the pre-registration list and do NOT receive a vaccine in this assignment, you will need to apply again for the next assignment. Check your email regularly. All pre-registration information remains confidential. “
