The Mexican soccer team completed another day of training in Cardiff with Raúl Jiménez practicing with the ball and with a special shield on his head, and everything indicates that Henry Martín started against Wales.
Jiménez has continued his rehabilitation work with the Mexican national team following the protocol he has with his club and while he has evolved favorably, it is very likely that he will not be returning to play this season.
With another training scheduled on Friday, Gerardo “Tata” Martino has determined what would be the starting eleven for Wales, where Guillermo Ochoa would be in goal, Luis “Chaka” Rodríguez, Nestor Araujo, Carlos Salcedo and Jesús Gallardo on the defense line; the midfield would consist of Edson Álvarez, Hector Herrera and Andrés Guardado and in the attack, Jesús Manuel Corona and Hirving Lozano as wingers and Henry Martín at the top.
For the second meeting, changes would be made to match as many items as possible.
It is very likely that the Welsh team will not play with their best eleven, as they started their European tie on Wednesday with a loss against Belgium and on Tuesday will host the Czech Republic, the team leading their group.
