Shake it off, take it off, break it off
High-definition remasters of 10-year-old niche Japanese games seem to be on trend this year. This week we get Gal * Gun returns on Switch and PC, which marks the first time the original game has left Japan in that series. This summer, another naughty game is coming to North America from Xseed Games for the first time.
Akiba’s Trip: Hellbound & Debriefed is a remaster of Akiba’s Trip Plus, which was an updated version of the original Akiba’s journey launched on PSP in 2011. The game puts players in the shoes of the Akiba Freedom Fighters as they hunt vampires and strip them down to their skivvies.

That’s a PSP-like game, but it sure looks a lot more fun than that Akiba’s Beat.
Akiba’s Trip: Hellbound & Debriefed is coming out in North America this summer for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC. The standard version is available for $ 39.99. For $ 10 more, you get the Day One 10th Anniversary Edition for PS4 or Switch, which includes an artbook and a two-disc soundtrack.
