First launched almost a year ago, HBO Max brought most of the Time Warner Media catalog under one roof featuring select high-profile shows and movies from other companies. The service is likely to get a boost in subscriber numbers, thanks to all the movies Warner Bros. releases on HBO Max (in addition to limited theatrical runs), and now there are some improvements in store for TV viewing.

HBO Max is bringing back the Android TV restart button, which was removed a few months ago for unknown reasons. The Play Store change log now says it’s back, restarting an ongoing movie or TV episode takes just one click:

Back by popular demand: We are excited to re-introduce the restart button for Android TV users! We know you missed it, and now you can quickly restart a running video with just one click. This update also includes new and improved player controls for Android mobile phone and tablet users, making it easier to jump back to what you are watching. Additionally, we’ve fixed some bugs and made performance improvements for a faster, smoother streaming experience.

Next to the new button, a recent Reddit post from u / djjsin pointed out that Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound is working on Chromecasts again. You still need a movie or TV show optimized for the format, of course, but at least your streaming stick won’t get in the way anymore.
