The WarnerMedia streaming service, which launched in late May, had deals with every other major ‘over-the-top’ service provider, with Roku being the latest outage.
After months of negotiation, HBO Max will finally arrive on Roku starting Thursday, just over a week before the streaming service debuts the highly anticipated Wonder Woman 1984 at the same time as theaters.

The deal with Roku was thought to be a priority for WarnerMedia as they were hoping to strike a deal before Wonder Woman’s 1984 debut on Christmas Day.
For Roku users who have already subscribed to HBO through the device, it will automatically update to the HBO Max app starting Thursday.
