Has the next PlayStation Plus free game just been bullied?

A new rumor has surfaced that could give us an idea of what could become a future addition to PlayStation Plus. While it is by no means a guarantee that this title in question will go to PS Plus, it looks like it could at least be made available for free in the future.

In a new cryptic tweet from one Nick Baker on Twitter, Activision and FromSoftware’s 2019 release of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice sounds like it could be made available for free to some users soon. While Baker didn’t provide much detail, he encouraged those interested to pick up Axe maybe wait to buy the game “in the next few months or so.” Obviously, he seems to have some sort of inside information about the prospects that the title will be made available for free.

The reason this could be a scourge regarding PlayStation Plus is because Baker has provided credible information about games going to Sony’s service in the past. Before it was officially announced by PlayStation, Baker was one of the first to suggest Which Final Fantasy VII Remake would be one of the free games joining PS Plus in March. As such, it wouldn’t be surprising if he also had a scoop on what could be coming to the service in the coming months.

That said, Baker could be teasing here too Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice might be coming to Xbox Game Pass instead. Baker’s background is actually much more involved with the Xbox brand as he hosts a podcast and helps run a website dedicated to the platform. With this in mind, it is difficult to say which location Axe could come, yet it looks like it could be made available for free sometime in 2021. But as usual, take all of this with a grain of salt until we possibly hear more later.

So what do you think of this tease? And which avenue would you rather see Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice come to – PlayStation Plus or Xbox Game Pass? Let me know in the comments or give me a call on Twitter @MooreMeer if you want to chat more.
