Early-access spaceship slicing simulator Hardspace: Shipbreaker has fired another update into orbit. This time you have yet another class of gigantic abandoned ships to crawl around in. To make things both better and worse, you have the new relegation tool to take it with. They’re handy remote precision charges, but apparently disabling them can be a trick if you change your mind. The new Business Is Booming update is now available for all of your professional shipbreakers.
Apparently, mega-space company Lynx Corp is doing pretty well, handing out contracts to you. You can now compete against the new Javelin class ships. They are funky, modular ships with many of their components facing out into space. Apparently, their strange construction will likely turn your deconstruction strategies inside out too.
The interiors are tighter, the developers say Blackbird Interactive. “Inside space on Javelin class ships is limited and maneuverability can be challenging,” they warn. Cutters are encouraged to read the effects of extreme claustrophobia and the recommended breathing exercises. Always make sure an escape route is planned while working in these confined spaces; you may need to be in a hurry. “
The update also adds the demo charges, external explosives that can cut through more materials than your hand tools. The update trailer above also reveals that these explosives are a bit tricky to disarm if you decide to change where one is placed. Apart from that detail, they look pretty neat.
