Hailey Bieber’s YouTube channel is a scattered but clever way to get out of Justin’s shadow

H.ailey Rhode Bieber wants to formally introduce herself … with a YouTube channel. The production company previously worked on Demi Lovato’s new YouTube documentary, Netflix feature films, and several Bieber music videos.

The result is top notch with gleaming lighting, expertly edited videos and at least two cameras to capture multiple angles. Hailey is also calling on her best friend Kendall Jenner to attract fans, as well as most famous hairstylist Jen Atkin and stylist Maeve Reilly.

It is by no means a unique project. In fact, it’s a bit of a hodgepodge of topics when Hailey sees what sticks. In her introductory video, Hailey explains that she will have travel vlogs, skincare routines, hair and makeup tutorials, and play games with friends.

Yet more than 8.5 million people watched them get tipsy, talked about running a partner’s phone, and laughed at saving themselves from marriage – by far Hailey’s most watched video.

She redeems herself with her skincare video. Hailey wakes up at 6:45 am with a cup of coffee in hand to walk fans through her morning routine, applying face and eye masks, cleanser, oil, moisturizer and sunscreen to her face.

“Sometimes I think people are a little hesitant to mess with the mask because they’re afraid their significant other will come in and say, ‘What are you doing with your face, you look crazy,’” she says, but adds quickly admits that Bieber likes to do masks with her.

Hailey has flawless skin and sure knows what she’s talking about, but it’s kind of a missed opportunity nonetheless. Many in her fan base probably can’t afford the $ 1,000 worth of products she uses every day, and Hailey doesn’t offer alternatives or cheaper dupes.

Her most recent video is with her stylist Maeve Reilly. The women invent a random game by making an outfit exclusively from aluminum foil. Whoever has the worst design should post a photo of themselves in the getup on Instagram with the caption ‘the future of fashion’ and leave the post there for a minute.

It’s silly and a bit youthful, but Hailey is still experimenting in hopes of making a place for herself apart from Bieber and her famous friends. She may not find her until later videos where she interviews a psychiatrist / mental health expert because she has been open about dealing with anxiety and insomnia.
