Gwyneth Paltrow has revealed that she contracted COVID-19 early in the pandemic and has persistent symptoms.
That would place the Oscar-winning “Shakespeare In Love” actor among the 10% of coronavirus patients who are long-haul aircraft, according to researchers.
In a recent post entitled “Healing My Body For A Longer-Term Detox” on her GOOP lifestyle website, Paltrow casually dropped the disclosure after an introduction to clearing up her diet.
“A little background: I had COVID-19 early on, and it gave me some long tail fatigue and brain fog,” she wrote. “In January, I ran a number of tests that showed very high levels of inflammation in my body.”
Paltrow said she consulted a functional medicine official who told her “the road to a cure would be longer than usual” and gave her a keto and vegetable regimen. The “Iron Man” star put much of the rest of her article on her GOOP site to sell products.
Long-haul vehicles test negative for the disease, but its impact persists. “This condition can affect anyone – old and young, otherwise healthy people, and people battling other conditions,” said UC-Davis Health. “It has been seen in those hospitalized with COVID-19 and in patients with very mild symptoms.”
