
(CNN Español) – At dawn this Sunday, the National Electoral Council of Ecuador announced in full session the official results of the February 7 presidential election after analyzing all the claims submitted. According to the results, Guillermo Lasso went to the second round with Andrés Arauz.
Arauz, of the Union for Hope party, received 32.72% of the vote, according to the official resultsIt was followed by Lasso, of the political Alliance CREO PSC, with 19.74% of the vote. In third place in the Ecuadorian elections, Yaku Pérez, of the Pachakutik Plurinational Unity Movement, received 19.39% of the vote.
According to these results, the second round scheduled for April 11 will be contested between candidates Andrés Arauz and Guillermo Lasso.
