GTA 6 trailer may have been plagued by Rockstar vacancy

Rockstar may be gearing up to step up marketing on GTA 6 or the next-gen port of GTA V as the developer is hiring someone to capture gameplay footage.

It looks like a new Rockstar job posting could be an indication that the company is getting ready to reveal GTA 6Many fans were hoping for the long-awaited follow-up GTA 5 is just around the corner next Red Dead Redemption 2s release and it looks like it could happen soon.

It’s been over 7 years since the release of GTA 5 on Xbox 360 and PS3, and while that may seem like a long time, the game has kept itself fresh so far. After a wealth of content updates, a PC and Xbox One / PS4 port, and all sorts of new innovations in the game’s ever-popular online mode, many have wondered if Rockstar will ever step away from GTA 5After all, why would the developer spend tons of money on a new game when the latter still has enough life left in it? That said, given the number of fans eagerly awaiting the title, GTA 6 has the potential to far exceed the earnings of its predecessor.

That said, Rockstar is hiring someone to come on board as a “Cinematic Gameplay Capture Artist” (via DualShockersThis position is basically the person who was going to capture all the footage in trailers, making it as cinematic as possible. Considering Rockstar has a knack for making trailers, this would essentially amount to an in-game cameraman and director. This allows the studio to use gameplay footage exclusively in the trailer, rather than making CG trailers or using conceptual footage, meaning what the studio is showing in the marketing is pretty close to the final product.

GTA 5 True Ending

The fact that Rockstar is hiring for this role probably means the studio is about to ramp up the marketing for something. This could be GTA 6 or it could just be new footage for GTA 5’s port, which is expected to include new exclusive content for PS5 and Xbox Series X / S. Either way, it looks like Rockstar is getting ready to show something in the next few weeks or months, and that’s exciting in itself anyway.

It’s unclear what this project will be, so fans shouldn’t get too excited about it GTA 6 too early. If this is GTA 6, it will likely calm down or confirm some rumors, such as the inclusion of a female protagonist. It’s also likely that given the way Rockstar works, this will be just a taster and the game won’t actually release for a year or two. After all, the studio has an unfortunate habit of delaying its games after they are revealed.
