GTA 5 update for PS5 and Xbox Series X Remaster has fans of Grand Theft Auto excited

Rockstar Games parent company Take-Two Interactive has released an update on the PS5 and Xbox Series X version of GTA 5, which it has described as an “enhanced and improved” version of the game, but so far has not elaborated on what this means or shown these improvements. At an event hosted by Morgan Stanley, Take-Two Interactive’s CEO, Strauss Zelnick, doubled down on not only releasing remasters, but meaningful remasters as well. According to Zelnick, the embodiment of this strategy is the work that Rockstar Games does GTA 5 for the PS5 and Xbox Series X, which Zelnick says is more than just a simple port command.

“I’m not sure if they will be a bigger part of the strategy. Remastering has always been part of the strategy,” Zelnick said of Take-Two Interactive’s approach to remasters and whether they will receive more attention in the future. . “What we’ve done differently from the competition is that we’re not just transferring titles. We’re really taking the time to do our very best to make the title different for the new release for the new technology we’re launching. “

According to Zelnick, the quality of the remasters is an important reason why they are doing so well for the company. And to be fair, Take-Two Interactive is doing a great job remastering and remaking games, although last year’s remaster of Mafia 2 didn’t get that memo, nor did Zelnick, who praised the work 2K did on the series last year.

Meanwhile we circle back to GTA and Rockstar Games, Zelnick noted that he is “confident” that Rockstar will “deliver a great experience” that you can’t get with a “simple port”.

Unfortunately this is all Zelnick had to say about it GTA 5 Remaster for PS5 and Xbox Series X. And if asked GTA 6 at the same event, Zelnick quickly avoided the question completely.
