Grimes reveals she’s fighting COVID-19 and admits she’s ‘strangely enjoying the DayQuil fever dream’
Grimes has revealed that she has contracted the new coronavirus.
The 32-year-old singer made the announcement nonchalantly in her Instagram Stories, where she joked that she was enjoying her sick time ‘weird’.
There was no update at her post whether her partner Elon Musk, 49, or their son X Æ A-Xii, eight months, was infected.

Grimes’ case of the virus appears to be relatively mild based on her withheld statement.
“ Finally got COVID, but strangely enough enjoying the DayQuil fever dream 2021, ” she captioned her post, adding a plant and a fairy emoji.
The singer added a screenshot of the single artwork for SZA’s new song Good Days, which was released at Christmas and appeared to be the soundtrack of the electronic musician’s recovery.
‘This song is soooo …’ she wrote, before leaving with planet and star, heart and dragon emojis.

The Canadian singer, whose real name is Claire Boucher, is entering a new period of activity after releasing an updated version of her most recent album Miss Anthropocene on New Year’s Day.
The ‘Rave Edition’ featured more club-friendly remixes of most of the songs, apart from two songs that already fit into their original incarnations.
The original version of the acclaimed album was released in February 2020, after Grimes had worked on it for two years.

Grimes and her partner Elon Musk started dating in 2018 after they bonded over a shared joke on Twitter.
She and the Tesla CEO welcomed their first child, who was given the abstract name X Æ A-Xii, in May 2020.
In recent months, Musk has come under fire on social media for some of his recent socially conservative posts, particularly regarding online censorship and transgender rights.
“I absolutely support trans, but all of these pronouns are an aesthetic nightmare,” he lamented on Twitter on December 16 in response to a criticism of him.

The post led to the businessman being mercilessly mocked on Twitter by users who pointed out that his child’s name could also be labeled an “ aesthetic nightmare. ”
“You named your child x æ a-12 and you want to call PRONOUNS an aesthetic nightmare ????” one user wrote.
Another joked that ‘elon musk called his baby X → A-12, but people with pronouns are where he draws the line.’
SpaceX founder recently saw his fortune grow to the point where he toppled Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos as the richest man in the world.
Musk currently tops the Bloomberg Billionaires Index with a total net worth of $ 209 billion, while Bezos is the second richest at $ 186 billion and Bill Gates comes in third with $ 134 billion.
