NFL Films and NFL Matchup analyst Greg Cosell joined Rich Eisen this week to discuss all the prospects for the best quarterback in this year’s draft. It’s an interesting talk for fans eager to get a little more insight into what the San Francisco 49ers could do with the # 3 overall pick.
Cosell shares his thoughts on Trevor Lawrence, Zach Wilson, Justin Fields, Trey Lance, Mac Jones, Davis Mills and even current New York Jets quarterback Sam Darnold. While Lawrence and Wilson are almost ready to be drafted with the top two selections, the Jets staying with Darnold would be a design-changing decision. Cosell shares his views on that scenario.

Everyone seems to have an opinion on who will select the San Francisco 49ers with the # 3 overall pick. Trevor Lawrence and Zach Wilson are widely expected to make it to # 1 and # 2, leaving head coach Kyle Shanahan with his pick of Justin Fields, Trey Lance or Mac Jones. The San Francisco 49ers expect to have a much improved line of attack this season. Much of that will depend on staying healthy and not repeating the setbacks of last season. It will also help keep players from rotating in and out of the line-up in the center. Not only have the team re-signed eight-time Pro Bowl tackle Trent Williams. It added six-time Pro Bowl center Alex Mack. Williams is excited about the addition and thinks the addition of Mack will pay big dividends in 2021. “That gives us confidence in the brain.
