Grand Theft Auto PS2 Remasters will be announced soon

The long-rumored PS5 remasters of Grand Theft Auto III Grand Theft Auto Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto San Andreas may finally be announced later today in the new PlayStation State of Play. While there is a new leak GTA fans anticipate the disclosure of GTA 5 on PS5, some new teases on the GTA forums, some also anticipating the aforementioned announcement. For weeks, insiders and leakers have been hitting the popular forum site for the re-release of these three classic PS2 era GTA games, and now some are teasing that today is finally the day they will be announced.

On the GTA forums, user “ClimaCool” recently and apparently teased that something would happen with these games on February 25th. The thing is, this scourge was shared before the PlayStation State of Play was announced, which led to some belief that this was some kind of inside information.

That said, it’s possible this was a tease GTA 5 news instead of GTA trilogy news, and this can of course be nothing more than a happy coincidence.

Fortunately, we don’t have to wait long to find out what exactly is going on here. At the time of publication, the PlayStation State of Play was about three hours away.

At this time, no interested party – Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive and Sony – has commented on the above information. If this changes, we will definitely update the story, but don’t expect that. Not only do all three maintain a fairly strict “no comment” policy when it comes to rumors and all information of the unofficial and speculative variety, but there is no point in commenting on a rumor about a show less than three hours away .
