A prominent one Grand Theft Auto insider shared some bad news about the release date of GTA 6, which is said to be in development for the PS5, Xbox Series X and PC. According to Yan2295, GTA 6 is indeed under development, but “it is not coming soon”. Tying in this disappointing news, the insider notes that he doesn’t know when it will be announced or even released, seemingly raising the point that it’s still at least a few years away, if not more.
The Rockstar Games insider shared the update on Twitter today and unfortunately hasn’t bolstered it with additional details. Of course, this isn’t the first time we’ve heard it GTA 6 is in development, but there are rumors and leaks suggesting the release date is closer than some think, and this could be the case, but according to Yan2295, the game is not coming any time soon.
Unfortunately, “not available soon” is extremely vague and rather subjective. This could indicate that the game is still a few years away, but it could also indicate that it is much more than a few years away. Either way, it’s not the news Grand Theft Auto fans wanted to hear.
