Selena has been revived in the Netflix series

The news comes just weeks after the release of Netflix’s “Selena: The Series,” a drama that chronicles the life and legacy of the iconic singer who tragically died in 1995 at the age of 23. “I loved his music before I joined the band … Keyboardist Ricky Vela was my hero when it came to musicality. His father [Abraham Quintanilla] it made an incredible noise when I visited them at an event in San Antonio. I learned a lot by playing the role of his guitarist Roger García and doing everything possible to stretch it even more, ” Quintanilla’s husband, Chris Pérez, wrote on Instagram, alongside a poster for the series.

Millions of fans have been rediscovered with Selena’s history and music, knowing details close to the Quintanilla family. According to the statements of the protagonist Yolanda Saldívar, the second season is a “celebration of the life of her life and not of her death”, so Selena’s death is not central to the plot.
