Grafton’s neighbors respond to arrest of pharmacist accused of destroying COVID-19 vaccine doses

GRAFTON, Delete. – Neighbors speak out while a Grafton pharmacist is in prison tonight on allegations that he deliberately spoiled hundreds of doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.

TMJ4 News does not name him because he has not been formally charged.

“I just saw some of the police surrounding the house. They had been here for a long time, ”said Drew Windsor, a neighbor who saw police nearby when the pharmacist was taken into custody.

The quiet Grafton neighborhood is in the national spotlight after police took one of the homeowners into custody.

The man is accused of deliberately destroying dozens of vials of Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine.

“Shocking. To put it in one word. Shocking,” said Timothy Skow, another neighbor.

Skow lives a few doors down from the neighbor who worked as a pharmacist at Advocate Aurora Hospital in Grafton. Aurora fired him after police said he intentionally tampered with nearly 600 Moderna covid-19 vaccine doses by leaving them unrefrigerated, rendering them unusable.

He is now in Ozaukee County Jail on three separate charges.

‘To make something like that happen and mess with the vaccines. It’s a shame, ”Windsor said.

TMJ4 News went to the pharmacist’s house hoping to talk to someone else who might live with him, but no one answered a knock on his door.

Despite a rather cordial relationship, Skow now has very strong feelings about his neighbor and the crimes he is accused of.

‘You are a pharmacist, you know what this pandemic can do to people. I hope you’ll be in a cell and spend the rest of your life there, ”Skow said.

The charges against the former pharmacist include reckless first-degree security threats, falsification of a prescription drug, and criminal property damage.

TMJ4 News reached out to Grafton Police today for an update on the case but did not hear back.

The charge against the pharmacist is expected next week.
