Texas government Greg Abbott (R) says Texas will not stand by and allow Biden government to destroy jobs in the Lone Star State and signed an executive order on Thursday directing all government agencies to prepare to destroy any federal government to challenge any action that threatens the Texas energy sector.
Abbott made the announcement Thursday, saying the state would take steps to protect the oil and gas industry, while also pledging to veto a ‘new green deal’ type of legislation should it be passed, while at the same time proposes legislation to ban natural gas appliances.

At the roundtable, Abbott spoke with oil and gas workers, energy leaders and advocates about how Texas can continue to support workers after COVID-19, and offered reassurance that he intended to protect the energy sector.
“If someone in Texas passes a new deal-type green policy, it will be vetoed by the governor and not become law in our state,” Abbott said.
