Gotham Knights and Hogwarts Legacy may receive concrete release dates and brand new information soon, according to new job openings at Warner Bros.
WB Montreal Gotham Knights may receive new information very soon. New job openings indicate that Warner Bros. is looking to hire people who can help market games like Gotham Knights and Hogwarts Legacy, indicating that the studio is in the process of doubling the two titles.
Gotham Knights was revealed last summer in DC Fandome and shows a new side of the Batman universe in video games. After Batman’s death, people like Red Hood, Robin, Nightwing and Batgirl work together to save Gotham city safe and seemingly after the ominous Court of Owls. The game can be played solo or co-op and will be a unique direction for WB Montreal especially after the team’s work on Batman: Arkham Origins
Details have been sparse since the game was announced, but it looks like WB is gearing up to show both Gotham Knights and Hogwarts Legacy, an RPG set in the Harry Potter universe. James Sigfield referred to Twitter (via ComicBook.com) that WB hires an “Associate Manager of Brand Marketing” and a “Submissions Specialist”. Both will help play a key role in the marketing of both titles, which probably means that the publisher has a pretty good idea of when both titles will be released, and wants to focus on them more through marketing and marketing. the game is ready for release.
Hogwarts Legacy was delayed to 2022, but the fact that WB is becoming optimistic about outlining a marketing strategy could mean it will still be released in the first half of next year. Unless WB plans its own event for spring, similar to DC Fandome, it is very possible the company will provide concrete release dates for both Hogwarts Legacy and Gotham Knights at the digital event of E3 (or a similar summer-related event). This is pure speculation, but since WB will have to hire people and develop a marketing strategy internally, it will take a while for this to actually be seen by the public.
