Gotham Knights teases alternative skins

WB Games Montreal has been pretty quiet about the upcoming release of Gotham Knights since its unveiling earlier this year, but some new information regarding cosmetics may have surfaced now. Despite coming about in a rather cumbersome fashion, it looks like players will be able to customize their various heroes in the game once it arrives in 2021.

WB Games Montreal developer Andy Gagnon, shared on Twitter, showcased some new artworks they received as a Christmas gift from the development team. The art specifically includes Batgirl, Red Hood, and Robin, each of which can be played inside Gotham Knights. Rather than the default looks for these characters we’ve seen before, Robin and Red Hood in particular have different gear.

While not stated outright by Gagnon, this points to points Gotham Knights allowing players to choose from a variety of different character skins in the game. Customization is something we’ve heard about in relation to Gotham Knights back in the days, but so far we haven’t gotten a good idea of what some of these alternate costumes might look like. Assuming this art resembles some of the different skins that will be in the final product, this is our best tease yet.

Gagnon goes on to say specifically that these images do not contain any other specific hints or teases regarding content that may be in the game. In particular, each artwork features some figures in the background, but Gagnon notes that these are just the other heroes from the game.

Gotham Knights will be released indefinitely in 2021 and will be playable on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S and PC. To stay up to date with all our coverage of the game as we approach the match, you can follow it here.
