Google is adding new games to smart displays with Assistant, such as the Nest Hub, to give people something new to play in time for the holidays. The additions roughly fit into three categories. In the first you will find word games such as Voice Quest. Here you play as a mage using spells with synonyms. In another new experience called Game of Words, you have six letters with which to create as many words as possible. The longer the word, the more points you earn. You can even compete against other players if you feel like the challenge. It’s all pretty simple and geeky stuff, but some are sure to get a kick out of it.
In the second category you will find puzzle games such as Daily Brain Trainer. Google says this one keeps your mind sharp with quick challenges that test your memory, reaction times and pattern recognition. Finally, there is a virtual pet category where you will find a game called Hey Fish. This allows you to create a virtual fishbowl where you take care of all the fish that live in it. Hello Kitty fans can look forward to the mascot that will soon be gracing their smart display. These games should appeal to children and families.
