GoldenEye 007: Canceled remaster files have been leaked

The game files for Rare’s canceled GoldenEye 007 Remaster have been shared on the Internet. The remaster, originally scheduled for release on Xbox 360 via XBLA but eventually canceled due to a claims issue, was brought back to everyone’s attention via a video that was shown last month. a full playthrough. But now the files have been posted to archiving and sharing sites on the Internet, allowing the public to get their hands on the doomed project.

As evidenced by the video uploaded to YouTube, this remaster lets you switch between original and upgraded footage, just like the Halo remasters. It runs at 60 FPS and can be played at 4K, which is quite a jump above the capabilities of the Xbox 360 console it’s built for.In the remaster’s YouTube video, uploader Graslu00 says they were told the game might be released to the public in some form in 2021. It seems the release has come very soon.

Playing this version requires the use of an emulator or a modified Xbox 360, so it’s important to note that anyone looking to look up the files will be dealing with murky legal waters, not to mention the fact that the game itself was probably leaked from the inside. Rare and thus can be considered stolen goods.

For legitimate Bond, we can all look forward to Project 007 from Hitman developer IO Interactive. The studio has certainly proven its Bond credentials in Hitman 3.
