Gorilla Glue girl Tessica Brown’s GoFundMe page reached over $ 20,000 in donations Thursday after doctors finally removed the sticky stuff through surgery.
The 40-year-old Louisiana woman – whose hair was detained for a month after using the superglue as a hairspray replacement – kicked off the fundraiser Monday.
She raised more than $ 13,000 in just one day – and by Thursday afternoon, that number jumped to $ 20,577.
The fundraiser – started by Brown and a family member and using a photo of her visit to the emergency room – did not specify what she would use the money for.
Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Michael Obeng offered to perform Brown’s surgery – a $ 12,500 procedure – for free after hearing about the chilling ordeal.
“How does it feel to make your hair feel like that again?” Someone asks Brown after the four-hour procedure, in images posted by TMZ.
“Now I wish I had waited to cut my ponytail,” says Brown.
Brown has a lawyer and is weighing up proceedings against Gorilla Glue.
