Seven months after the pandemic brought the Atlanta Hawks’ season to an unwanted end, it was time for a reunion in Southern California to bring them all back together.
Coach Lloyd Pierce and all of the Hawks returnees would meet for team bonding, with all sorts of activities planned that he hoped would help their chemistry move into a season they all knew would be busy. There was pick-up basketball against other NBA players, a boxing class where they compete against each other and group dinners that included the upcoming elections.
But the real headlining event happened when Pierce and Trae Young met in person to discuss their upcoming third year together.
