Gmail down: Google’s email service is suffering from a widespread outage, users report

According to users, Google’s Gmail service has gone down widely.

The tech giant confirmed that a “significant subgroup” of users was having issues with their email accounts on Tuesday.

The problem came just a day after Google products such as Gmail, YouTube and Google Docs were hit by an outage on Monday.

Users were able to access their inboxes, but encountered “errors, high latency and / or other unexpected behavior,” the company said on the status dashboard.

“We are aware of a problem with Gmail that affects a significant portion of users,” said Google.

“The affected users can access Gmail but see errors, high latency and / or other unexpected behavior.”

Downdetector, which monitors technical glitches, recorded that users started having problems at 3 p.m. ET.

Google’s game streaming service, Stadia, also encountered issues that “prohibit some users from launching games” before that issue was resolved.
