According to the Italian news agency ANSA, the girl’s parents have given permission to donate her organs after the death of their child.

The ‘Blackout Challenge’, with a milder variation called the ‘Passout Challenge’, has been circulating on social media platforms including TikTok for the past year.

It is currently considered one of the most popular challenges on TikTok.

Also known as ‘the passing out’, ‘the game of choking’ or ‘fast dreaming’, the challenge requires users to pass out themselves for a few seconds.

Similar dangerous trends, such as the ‘Blue Whale Challenge’, have sparked police alerts after being linked to countless deaths around the world.

Blue Whale Challenge tasks can range from watching horror movies to waking up at odd hours and ultimately to self-harm.

On the 50th day, the controlling manipulators behind the ‘game’ allegedly ordered the youth to commit suicide.

Experts have warned of the risks associated with these online challenges, including passing out, seizures, brain damage, and even death.
