Giovanna’s inactive animation revealed for Guilty Gear Strive

It was back in October that we got our first glimpse of Giovanna, a brand new character heading into the roster of the upcoming Guilty Gear Strive, but we haven’t seen much of her since.

However, developers gave the community a new Giovanna snippet on Sunday night when they posted the newcomer’s inactive animation to Twitter.

The US president’s bodyguard normally takes a fighting stance that sees her leaning forward with her hip toward her opposition as her ghostly dog ​​hovers just above it, but leave her alone long enough and she will straighten up straight.

Giovanna stands up and does a few quick hops to keep the blood flowing, and her loyal companion maintains a very stoic and intimidating demeanor as he stares intently forward. The included clip has no sound, so we’re not sure if she spits out a trademark phrase in the process.

In keeping with Guilty Gear’s reputation for having gorgeous figures with beautiful animations, Giovanna caught the attention of the GG community almost immediately. We’ve seen a lot of intrigue and hype in market discussions on the internet, and many avid fans have already turned into fan art (that gorgeous banner image is from Lv01KOKUEN).
