Gina Carano felt her days were numbered at “The Mandalorian,” even before she was fired by Disney following several controversial social media posts.
That’s according to former Elite XC and Strikeforce fighter, who previously appeared as former rebel shock trooper Cara Dune for two seasons in the “Star Wars” spin-off airing on Disney +.

While Disney and Lucasfilm had previously spoken to Carano about her controversial social media posts with posts on both Twitter and Instagram challenging the outcome of the 2020 presidential election, anti-masking rhetoric during the coronavirus pandemic, and other conspiracy theories, it was a recent post that the plight of Republicans compared to Jews who were massacred during the Holocaust in Nazi Germany, leading to her expulsion from “The Mandalorian”.
“Jews were beaten in the street, not by Nazi soldiers but by their neighbors… even by children. Because history is being edited, most people today don’t realize that in order to get to the point where Nazi soldiers could easily gather thousands of Jews together, the government first made their own neighbors hate them simply because they were Jews. How is that different from hating someone because of their political views, ”said Carano in a now-deleted post on her Instagram account.
That may have been the last straw before Carano was finally fired, she claims the writing was already on the wall about her status as part of the cast for the “Star Wars” series.

Carano later revealed that she found out she had been shot on social media when Lucasfilm representatives released a statement saying she was no longer employed by the studio, calling her comments “ disgusting ” and “ unacceptable. ”
“I was prepared to be let go at any moment because I’ve seen this happen to so many people,” said Carano. ‘I’ve seen the looks on their faces. Just days after Carano was fired from “The Mandalorian,” she struck a deal with Shapiro to develop and star a new movie for the right wing website that has recently begun to spark interest in the entertainment industry.
In addition to her resignation from “The Mandalorian”, Carano was also dropped by her talent agents at UTA.
There are no further comments from Disney, Lucasfilm or “The Mandalorian” showrunner Jon Favreau, who had a hand in casting Carano for her role on the show.
However, Carano does not remain silent, as she continued to target her former employers after her dismissal.
“The thought of this happening to someone else, especially someone who can’t handle this the way I can, no, they can’t do that,” said Carano.

In addition to her role in “The Mandalorian,” Carano had previously appeared in such films as “Deadpool” and “Haywire” after transitioning to an acting career following her last MMA fight in 2009.
