Merry Christmas, it’s time to jump into a mech and destroy a city. For 72 hours, digital games store GOG is giving Brigador away free for souvenirs, and it’s worth grabbing. Brigador is an isometric shooter that blasts through a future city in a variety of customizable mechs and other vehicles, sneaking if you want, or deploying massive ammo if not.
To get Brigador free, go to the front page of GOG by 2pm on the 25th (6am Pacific) and scroll down to the big giveaway banner (don’t be fooled by the headline that says “Brigador Giveaway). You do have to agree to sign up for GOG’s mailing list to get the game, so I guess you might be in doubt if it’s “free” in the strictest sense, but what is really free? humans can’t play on Tux Racer alone.

The developers announced a sequel in 2019, Brigador Killers. It, like everything else, didn’t come out as planned in 2020.
