Get discounts with your vaccine card at these companies in the Milwaukee area

Your COVID-19 vaccination card doesn’t just show that you are protected against the coronavirus. It can also lead to some handy discounts at businesses in the region.

When you have completed your vaccine doses, you will be expected to receive a vaccination card.

Now several companies in our region are offering deals: show your card, receive discounts or other benefits.

Black Husky Brewing
909 E Locust St, Milwaukee

This Milwaukee taproom is giving away a free beer to those who show their vaccination card.

“Prost to Your Dose! Show your COVID-19 vaccination card and receive a free beer courtesy of Black Husky!” the company has posted on social media.

The Iron Horse Hotel
500 W Florida St, Milwaukee

Boutique Hotel Walker’s Point is now giving away a free shot of drink to customers who show their vaccine sticker or card.

The hotel wrote on social media, “That’s right, we’re giving our vaccinated friends a shot at it: show us your vaccine sticker or card and we’ll give you a free shot in Branded.”

Spirits of the highest level are excluded.

Krispy Kreme
2900 S 108th St, West Allis, all locations

As of Monday, March 22, Krispy Kreme says that customers who have received at least one dose of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine, or Johnson & Johnson’s one-time vaccine, are eligible for a free donut at all stores nationwide.

All you need to bring to get your donut is a valid COVID-19 vaccination card.

The deal is offered for the remainder of the year and is only valid in person at the drive-thru or in-store.

Shawarma House

17385 W Bluemound Rd, Brookfield

Shawarma House, known for its Middle Eastern cuisine, is now offering a 15 percent discount on your order by showing your vaccination card. The restaurant started the offer when they announced that their staff had been fully vaccinated against the corona virus.

“We are happy and proud to share this great news with you and we highly recommend that you also go #getvaccinated,” the company posted on social media.

Staples
Different locations

Staples offers to laminate COVID-19 vaccination cards for free.

People who bring in their card issued by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention after receiving their second dose of Staples will laminate for free.

The offer is valid until April 3 in rural locations.

The deal is only available in stores and the discount code is 81450.

Up-down MKE
615 E Brady St, Milwaukee

The 21+ arcade bar, Up-Down MKE, is encouraging residents to get the COVID-19 vaccine by offering 20 free game tokens to those who show a completed vaccine card.

The offer starts on Monday. Guests only need to present their completed vaccination card to the bartender or server to retrieve their tokens. The tokens can then be used to play the arcade’s various in-house games.

Up-Down says that during the first three weeks of the program, tokens will be given to those who have a vaccination card. After that, newly vaccinated guests can hand in their card up to three weeks after their second dose.

The promotion will continue throughout the summer “to reward everyone for taking this important step for community safety,” said a statement from the arcade.
