Gerrit Cole shared a story via his official Instagram account (gerritcole45) in which he is seen with Jameson Taillon, new Yankees pitcher, celebrating that the news of his arrival to the team has already been released.
Cole’s reaction to Taillon’s entry into the ‘Big Apple’ organization is not entirely surprising, as the two are known to be not only teammates when pitching at the Pittsburgh Pirates, but are also very good friends.
It is even said that the Yankees decided to sign Taillon because Cole spoke highly of the pitcher and recommended the ‘arm’ of his colleague and friend to bolster the team’s starting rotation in MLB 2021.
Jameson Taillon, 29, has a 29-24 win-loss record, a 3.67 ERA and a 1.25 WHIP, in 82 career starts, all with the Pittsburgh Pirates.
