Accused of gender-based violence, accused of refusing to wear a mask, arrested for “disturbances in public order” and even received death threats, Gerardo Fernández Noroña it has been causing controversy for decades. The Deputy to the Labor Party (PT) has a long political career, but who is he and how much is he currently earning?

Noroña assures it over a million followers who are “a Mexican who is furious for the situation in his country ”and states that his true ambition is to realize a transformation process. The former candidate for the presidency has been talking about it for over 30 years, here we tell you a bit of his story.
Who is Fernández Noroña?
Born on March 19, 1960 in what was then the Federal District, Noroña was considered a ‘leader’ from his high school studies and even higher, at Azcapotzalco Autonomous Metropolitan University (UAM), where he majored in sociology, as he was part of from various student associations.
It wasn’t until 1988 that he ventured into Mexican politics as a candidate for federal deputy for the Mexican Socialist Party and joined the National Democratic Front (DFN), before evolving into the PRD.

According to the federation’s spending budget (PEF) for 2021, federal delegates earn a base salary of 105 thousand 378 pesos per month, plus 294 thousand 879 pesos in benefits, which include Social Security contributions, a solidarity savings and of the year bonus.
