That means businesses in Georgia will no longer be required to enforce social distancing, the ban on meetings will be lifted, and the ability for authorities to shut down businesses that violate the restrictions will be removed.
“As our COVID-19 numbers continue to evolve in the right direction and all Georgians aged 16 or older are now eligible for the vaccine, Dr. Toomey and I now urge everyone to roll up their sleeves and take their chance. can continue to make steady progress to get back to our way of life in the Peach State, ”said Kemp.
Also in the state, the shelter-in-place requirement will be lifted and all proposed measures for businesses will be bundled into one master list.
A host of other states are moving to drop COVID-19 requirements as well.
Restrictions are being lifted across the country as millions of Americans are being vaccinated against the coronavirus.
However, health officials are warning against a quick reopening, saying the pandemic is not over yet.
