Genshin Impact’s next major update releases on March 17th and with it comes the start of a new event, the Windblume Festival new minigames, a new playable character, the ability to go on dates with selected characters and some quality of life changes.
The news comes via a post on the PlayStation Blog announcement of the update and various details about it. Update 1.4 sees the start of the Windblume Festival, which has been described as “a cultural celebration of romance and passion”. After the update goes live, players who have reached Adventure Rank 20 and completed the “Song of the Dragon and Freedom” quest will be invited to this festival of love and passion. During the event, players can spend some “special time” with Barbara, Noelle, Bennett and Chongyun. During these dates you will have to make different choices to achieve different endings.
As part of the festivities, three new minigames will also be available: Bullseye Balloons, Floral Freefall and Ballads of Breeze. The minigame has four difficulty levels and most can be played solo or co-op. Completing these mini-games will earn you tickets that can be spent on new rewards, including talent-raising materials and two new gadgets.
Rosaria “Thorny Benevolence”, a new playable four-star character, is added Genshin Impact during update 1.4. This is what Zhenzhong Yi, the Studio Technical Director at Genshin Impact developer miHoYo, had to say about this new character:
Rosaria is a sister of the church of Favonius that players may have encountered during their adventures with Albedo in Dragonspine. Wearing a Cryo Vision, Rosaria is a powerful polearm wheeler with an elemental ability that allows her to immediately slide behind her enemy and pierce and chop them to deal Cryo damage. Her Elemental Burst allows her to attack with a mighty blow, dealing massive Cryo damage and summoning an icy Ice Lance that deals continuous Cryo damage to nearby enemies. “
Finally, two smaller changes are being made with update 1.4. Players can now have five Condensed Resin in their inventory. And people will be able to lower the world level in both co-op and single player.
I do not play Genshin Impact so a lot of this sounds like complete gibberish to me. But if you have a Genshin Impact player, hopefully this sounds good ..?
