Gayle King’s daughter, Kirby Bumpus, has tied the knot.
The 32-year-old married Virgil Miller at the home of King’s best friend Oprah Winfrey in California, the TV host revealed on “CBS This Morning” on Monday.
King, 66, explained that she and her ex-husband, William Bumpus, were not allowed to enter the Montecito rectory due to COVID-19 restrictions.
“[It’s] hard to watch your daughter get married and not be able to cuddle, ‘she said, referring to social distance rules.
King’s son, William Bumpus Jr., led.
Winfrey and her partner Stedman Graham were also in attendance on the big day.
She added that she had helped her daughter buy wedding dresses, but that it was done remotely because of the virus.
Kirby and Miller became engaged in February 2019.
At the time, Bumpus shared a photo of her large diamond ring in the photo and wrote, “Here. WE. To go!”
According to her LinkedIn profile, Kirby works as Sweetgreen’s head of social impact and inclusion.
