It wasn’t long before the news of Cleveland finally added Jadeveon Clowney’s defensive ending to spread across the NFL world. The Browns signed Clowney to a one-year deal worth at least $ 8 million with incentives going up to $ 10 million.
Despite the move being in the potential works for months, many were still amazed that Clowney joined forces with the Browns. Others hailed the move as a determined genius for Browns GM Andrew Berry, who has sought Clowney two offseasons in a row.
Here’s a sampling of the social media responses from various national media outlets, fans, and players around the NFL.

Highest double team ratio in pass rushing as a edge, 2018-2020.
Michael Bennett 30%

This is a great asset and a great player who will fit very well with Cleveland’s broken defense. AB and KS have created a SOLID D line in their first year.

Clowney adds a different element than Vernon, but that signing largely prevented the Browns from experiencing a drop-off at that position.
It allows them to take a bigger step forward through the trek.

GM Andrew Berry is stacking Cleveland’s roster firmly. Encourage # Brown fans to study the back third of Clowney’s final season in SEA & / t postseason run, after battling a core issue. The impact is on video. Yes he’s a great run defender, the ability to rush (circa ’17 & ’18) is there.

The # Brown Signing Clowney frees the NEEDING pass rush production team from the design. Now the team can focus on other functions or draft BPA. While Clowney doesn’t produce many sacks, he does deliver something in a position the team needed.

Between Jadeveon Clowney and Odell Beckham Jr., I think the Browns are finally entitled to the 2014 concept.

However, not everyone is that enthusiastic. Note that many of these include comments from other AFC North towns …
Clowney has hired a player for a year since his rookie contract I don’t understand why everyone thinks he’s going to be great and healthy for the Browns all year round now, but whatever

Jadeveon Clowney’s Browns signing could help them win the off-season, but will it help in the regular season? That’s a pretty big piece. Https://t.co/ZgkpATG01s

Clowney doesn’t turn the Browns over.
ALL OF THEM.

It is always interesting to see the preventive reactions of professional provocateurs in the media. Let’s see if what Skip Bayless said earlier this week about Clowney’s signing by Browns is true when he next talks about it …
If the Browns sign Clowney, they become a legitimate Super Bowl contender. I can’t believe no one else signed it. I believe he still has a Pro Bowl or two in him. He recently turned 28!
