Severino is progressing
Luis Severino’s comeback from last year’s Tommy John surgery is still going smoothly after the increased number of litters last week. He will continue to throw from 36 meters next week, and if all goes well, he will be able to throw a mound for the first time the following week.
Weight off his shoulder
Mike Tauchman said he sustained a right shoulder injury last year after exacerbating it. The outfielder, who is fighting for a roster place, said it may have contributed to his poor season, but added that it wasn’t serious enough for an IL stint.
