Brooks announced on Wednesday that the couple had been quarantined together at home in Tennessee after a member of their team tested positive for the virus.
“The Queen and I have now tested twice,” said Brooks. “Officially she’s now being diagnosed as ‘out of the tunnel’, and I’m extremely grateful for that. Everyone who knows me knows that my world begins and ends with Miss Yearwood, so she and I will ride through it together.”
Brooks had high hopes that Yearwood would recover, calling her “a fighter” and saying “she’s done everything right, so I know we’ll leave the other side of this thing together.”
Brooks, who performed at President Joe Biden’s inauguration last month, added that Yearwood was under the best of care near where they live.
“We are very lucky that she is currently in the best city under the greatest care for treating and curing singers.”
