announced on Wednesday that he has hired Matt Francis for the newly created role of chief technology officer, effective Feb. 15. Francis was most recently a technical leader at Amazon.com Inc.’s AMZN.

is up 13.6%. GameStop also announced that Kelli Durkin, most recently at Chewy Inc. CHWY,
was hired as senior vice president of customer care. The company also hired Josh Krueger as vice president of fulfillment; Kruger previously held senior fulfillment roles at Amazon.com Inc. AMZN,
and Walmart Inc. WMT,
