Game of Thrones star Pilou Asbaek joins Jason Momoa in Aquaman 2 in an unknown role
Jason Momoa is getting another Game of Thrones star to join him in Aquaman 2, with Pilou Asbaek signing up.
The 39-year-old Danish actor, who played the nefarious Euron Greyjoy in Game of Thrones, is in talks to join the Warner Bros. superhero sequel via Deadline.
No details were given about the plot of the sequel, nor were there any details about who may be playing Asbaek.

The original Aquaman followed Arthur Curry (Momoa), born of a human father (Temuera Morrison) and Queen Atlanna (Nicole Kidman) of the underwater kingdom of Atlantis.
The story follows Curry as he goes on a quest to stop a war between the worlds of land and sea.
The original film also starred Amber Heard as Mera, Willem Dafoe as Vulko, Patrick Wilson as Orm, Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Manta.

Aquaman was a huge hit for the DCEU at the box office, earning $ 335 million domestically, second in the DCEU after Wonder Woman’s $ 412.5 million.
It was also the only DCEU movie to hit $ 1 billion globally, earning $ 813.4 million from international territories for $ 1.14 billion worldwide.
There’s no word yet on whether other Aquaman stars will return alongside Momoa as the title character.

Aquaman director James Wan returns to direct Aquaman 2, scripted by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick.
Peter Safran is producing the superhero sequel, production of which is expected to begin this summer, although no further details were given.
Warner Bros. has also set a release date of December 16, 2022 for Aquaman 2, which will compete against another anticipated sequel, Avatar 2.

Asbaek first appeared in American films such as The Whistleblower and Lucy before breaking through as Euron Greyjoy in Game of Thrones.
He also played Pontius Pilatus in 2016’s Ben-Hur on the big screen, along with roles on Ghost in the Shell, Woodshock and Overlord.
He last starred on Outside the Wire and will subsequently appear on Samaritan, Project X-Traction and ISS
