Game of Thrones Season 8 gets a new HBO trailer, fans are going crazy with Targaryen

Daenerys Targaryen makes big decisions in the final season.

When celebrating the 10th anniversary from Game of Thrones, HBO will air all eight seasons starting April 10. To stir up the hype, HBO has released new season trailers, including one for Season 8. The YouTube comments tell an exhausting story of disappointed fans who were divided over the show’s ending. To channel Ned Stark, “Some wounds never really heal, and bleed again at the slightest word.”

Here is a selection, with no positive comments anywhere.

“Are you making it again? Cause if you’re not then better not release a trailer for it and remind [sic] us of something we want to forget. “

“I can’t wait to see how important Jon’s lineage is, how they defeat the Night King, how Jamie redeems herself, and what Varys’s grand plan has been all this time. ‘

“Season 8 was like Frodo realized he could break the One Ring in half like a twig once he reached Mordor.”

“It’s amazing how popular this show was back then, and how quickly everyone forgot about it. Probably the most disappointing in entertainment history.”

The first season of Game of Thrones aired on HBO on April 17, 2011. The fantasy series ran for 73 episodes until May 2019, faster than George RR Martin could write the books on which they were based. In Season 5, showrunners David Benioff and DB Weiss began to use original content not found in Martin’s novels. The last seasons have included material that Martin revealed to Benioff and Weiss about the upcoming novels in the series, as well as original content.

A lot of fans mocked the end of the TV versioneven call for one redoing the whole seasonStill, there’s no question about the seismic cultural influence the show had over the past decade.
