“Furiosa” Sets June Shoot & 2023 Release

Mad Maxfuriosa Sets Release of June Shoot 2023

It’s official, the George Miller-directed “Mad Max: Fury Road” prequel “Furiosa” has not only set a filming start date, but also a release date.

As part of a press conference, and first reported by Aussie entertainment reporter Angela Bishopproduction of the new film will start in Australia in June, particularly in western Sydney and regional parts of the state of New South Wales, where the first two “Mad Max” films were in use.

Chris Hemsworth, Anya Taylor Joy and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II star in what has been dubbed the biggest production ever in the state. Miller attended the press conference and says the film is actually larger in scale than ‘Fury Road’ in terms of storytelling:

“’Fury Road’ lasted three days and two nights [within the film]This is a saga of many years and so it contains many different elements. “

The key to all this is that federal and state governments are offering a total of $ 135 million in incentives to ensure production will take place in Australia, which has recently experienced a shootout boom due to aggressive government funding schemes and a largely pandemic-free population .

Manufacturing is expected to support more than 850 local jobs and bring $ 270 million to the economy. Confirmed “Mad Max: Fury Road” returnees include production designer Colin Gibson, editor Margaret Sixel, sound mixer Ben Osmo and makeup designer Lesley Vanderwalt.

The project also has a local release date set for June 23, 2023.

Hemsworth is currently in NSW’s capital, Sydney, shooting Taika Waititi’s “Thor: Love and Thunder”. Although it is his fourth film to be shot in his home country, this is the first time he has made an all-Australian film.
