With the introduction of the new deathmatch map Kanezaka in Overwatch, players have explored every inch of the map. However, a savvy Sombra player has discovered a malfunction that transports players to Hanamura.
Overwatch fans have long been waiting for a new map. With the last core map (Havana) falling in 2019, the announcement that a new map, Kanezaka, would be coming to the game was met with a lot of hype.
While the map is only available for Free For All Deathmatches, the Japanese-inspired city is full of cute alleyways to explore and even has a cute cat cafe. We can imagine Brigitte chilling there with her sweet fluffballs.
However, one player managed to find a glitch in the Kanezaka matrix and used a fun little Sombra trick to discover a little more than Blizzard might have intended.

Kanezaka’s cat cafe is just one of many highlights on the menu.
Kanezaka glitch will take you to Hanamura
If you’re not dodging through the alleys and wreaking havoc, a player has found a trick that will take Sombra off the Kanezaka map and enter, well, Hanamura.
Reddit user Har1eKing is seen throwing Sombra’s translocator through an opening to the left of the entrance to the town’s ramen bar. Once they have jumped back to the position of her teleporter, they then throw a series of translocators up through the leaves of the cherry blossom tree that frames the background.
Eventually, they land on what appears to be the back of Shimada Castle, or Hanamura’s infamous B-site, and use the trick again to track along the temple wall and land on a rock suspended in the air.
Not only do they get a great view of Overwatch’s Japanese skyline, but also how much work Blizzard has really put into their card designs.
Now enter Hanamur … Hold on … from r / Overwatch
So if you feel like channeling your inner Indiana Sombra then this is definitely the trick for you.
While it takes time to get the result, it is worth it. You can apply your translocator skills to other Sombras and watch Hanamura perfectly.
Make sure to do it quickly because Blizzard can eventually stuff this cheeky hole in the Overwatch matrix!
