Free PS4 and PS5 games we may get in April 2021

April 2021 is upon us and so far Sony has not revealed the free PlayStation Plus games PS4 and PS5 players for the month. That said, if next month’s offering is anything like March’s free PlayStation Plus games offering, it’s going to be a big opportunity. PlayStation Plus is not only offering incredible series of games in 2021, but it also appears to be increasing the number of games on offer, giving subscribers four new games last month, plus a fifth game that was still available from the previous month’s offering.

From now on, subscribers can download the following four games: Final Fantasy 7 Remake Fashion model Relic: From the Ashes, and FarpointFor April, we expect Sony to offer something similar, or more specifically, one PS5 and three PS4 games, one of which will also be playable on PlayStation VR.

Below you’ll find our predictions for the month, including a reason why we think that game will be included, an official description of each game, and a trailer for each game. That said, it’s important to keep in mind that these are just predictions based purely on a general understanding of the industry, the history of the service, and simple observations. In other words, there are no rumors, leaks, or insider information fueling these choices. And of course, chances are we’re wrong across the board, because that’s how probability works. But for what it’s worth, we’ve been right several times in the past.

Resident Evil 7 (PS4 and PlayStation VR)

Reason: When April’s PlayStation Plus games come out, Resident Evil Village will be out for a month. Of course a new main line Resident Evil game doesn’t need any help generating hype, but it certainly wouldn’t hurt Capcom to create Resident Evil 7 free in advance to get players in the mood and ready for Resident Evil VillageAnd as you may know Resident Evil Village is a continuation of Resident Evil 7, so it makes sense to make sure everyone has played it before Resident Evil Village releases. Some may say it is foolish to make RE7 free for that Resident Evil Village since the latter will certainly cause a spike in sales of the former, but this argument forgets that Resident Evil 7 is currently four years out. Anyone who would buy the game has already done so. Finally, this also lets Sony check the PlayStation VR box, something it has been striving for more recently.

About: Set in modern rural America, set after the dramatic events of Resident Evil® 6, players experience the terror directly from a first-person perspective. Resident Evil 7 embodies the series’ signature gameplay elements of exploration and a tense atmosphere that first coined “survival horror” some twenty years ago, meanwhile, a complete overhaul of gameplay systems simultaneously propels the survival horror experience to the next level. “

Mass Effect: Andromeda (PS4)

Reason: Mass Effect: Andromeda has a similar pitch Resident Evil 7When April’s PlayStation Plus games come out, Mass Effect: Legendary collection will be out for a month. If there was a time for it Mass Effect: Andromeda to go free on PlayStation Plus, it would be in April. Not only does EA have nothing to lose, but the game is a much better product than it was at launch, when most people were playing it. In other words, this is an opportunity for EA to undermine some of the story surrounding the game and replace it with something more positive. Meanwhile, Sony adds Mass Effect: Andromeda let them check the AAA box and it could lead to more players buying Mass Effect: Legendary Collection on PS4 via Xbox One and PC.

About: Mass Effect: Andromeda takes players to the Andromeda Galaxy, far beyond the Milky Way. There, you lead the fight for a new home in hostile territory as the Pathfinder – a leader of military-trained explorers. This is the story of the next chapter of humanity, and your choices during the game will ultimately determine humanity’s survival. “

NieR: Automata (PS4)

Reason: “Like Resident Evil 7 and Mass Effect: Andromeda, now is the time to make NieR: Automata free. First, it is now four years old and has sold millions of copies, that is, how much more can Square Enix expect to squeeze out of this stone? Two, and more importantly, later in April, “Kidney Replicant ver.1.22474487139 …will be released, a remaster of NieR: Automata predecessor. So again, this is another chance for synergy and it would be a great last hurray for the game, which owes much of its success to its players on PS4.

About: “NieR: Automata tells the story of androids 2B, 9S and A2 and their struggle to reclaim the machine-driven dystopia overrun by powerful machines. Humanity has been driven from the earth by mechanical beings from another world. In a last-ditch effort to take back the planet, the Human Resistance sends a force of Android soldiers to destroy the invaders. Now a war is raging between machines and androids … A war that could soon reveal a long-forgotten truth of the world. “
