This is what is happening in the television world on Monday January 25th. All times are Eastern.

Best choice

Freaks and Geeks (Hulu, 3:01 am): This, as our current president once said about some piece of health law, is a damn deal. Here’s Danette Chavez on Paul Feig’s seminal one-season series, soundtrack intact, on Hulu:

Paul Feig’s beloved coming-of-age drama Freaks and Geeks is coming to Hulu, the streamer announced via a press release on Monday. The complete series (a One Season Wonder) will be available to stream in all its awkward and heartfelt glory starting January 25 […] First-time viewers will be able to watch at their leisure from next Monday, which is definitely a different experience from watching Freaks and Geeks when it aired, sporadically and on multiple networks, from 1999 to 2000. One thing Hulu found necessary to preserve, however, is the show’s music. A representative from Hulu confirmed that The AV Club that Viacom has confirmed that the show will be streamed with the original soundtrack intact. This is a huge deal considering music licensing rights the home releases for shows like Freaks and Geeks and Daria back in the days. And, as Feig said AV Club last summer, dropping one of the perfect musical choices would be like ‘losing a character from the show’. But on January 25, Hulu subscribers can watch the freaks and geeks of William McKinley High navigate adolescence to the sounds of The Moody Blues, The Who, Van Halen, Styx, XTC, Alice Cooper, Cheap Trick, Rush, and of course, The Grateful. Dead.

For the first time, view the baby faces of some then unknown, now very famous people at will. (Or, if you’re like many of us here at The AV Club, for the eleven hundred time. It’s a really good show, okay?)

Regular coverage

The Bachelor (ABC, 8 p.m.)
Snow Piercer (TNT, 9 PM): Season two premiere

Wild card

The Secret History of the British Garden (Acorn, 3:01 p.m., full series, US streaming premiere): If you need a little rest on this beautiful Monday, Acorn is the one for you with this four-episode 2015 series. Here’s the description:

World-renowned gardener and horticultural expert Monty Don explores the stories behind four of the country’s most important gardens in this BBC Two series, revealing their fascinating secrets to reveal how the British garden has evolved over the past 400 years. From 17th century royal palaces to wistful 20th century cottages, many of the world’s most famous influential and important gardens were created in the UK. Follow Monty Don as he digs up plans, diaries, letters, and paintings to get a truly revealing look at how our most treasured and iconic outdoor spaces have evolved.

It’s time up take a turn around the site, friends. Don’t let your petticoats get six inches deep in the mud or your little sister’s shitty sister will be an asshole. (That’s one Pride and prejudice joke.) Just watch this trailer, will you? It looks very nice.
